It’s been a crazy month. My mom’s side of the family got together for a family reunion in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Joseph and I are still recovering. I’m a little exhausted, but I realized it’s already the 4th, so I wanted to get this post up since I have some fun things coming up for future posts. So without further ado, let’s jump into my June beauty favorites!
My favorite products from the month of June:
Batiste Hint of Color Dry Shampoo: I mentioned this product in my 7 Summer Beauty Must-Haves post, but I’m obsessed. I had used this a few years back, but fell in love again when I was shopping at ULTA. My “Not Your Mother’s” dry shampoo left a horrible white cast on my hair, which made me look like I was going grey. But this stuff is incredible. Not only does it come out brown, but it’s easy to work into your hair and it doesn’t weigh it down.
Lee Stafford Chopstick Ceramic Curling Wand: ALL THE YES. Yup. This. I’ve only had it for about 2 weeks, but I’m obsessed. I bought this because I felt like rocking some 80s inspired corkscrew curls, and this is the perfect wand for it. It only takes me about 20-30 minutes to do my hair. It’s much faster than you would think — you only need like 10 seconds per curl. The barrel is square and really small. It also doesn’t have a clip, which I prefer. You can definitely make your hair style as crazy or as toned down as you want. I also love that it looks even better on the second day.
Jaclyn Hill X Morphe Palette: I wrote about my first experience with Morphe here, and I’ll be honest, they’re definitely a hit or miss company for me. I’ve casually watched Jaclyn’s Youtube tutorials since her early days in her kitchen, and I wanted to support her as a fellow beauty enthusiast. And WOW. These shadows are hands down the best ones compared to the other 3 palettes I own by Morphe. If you’re on the fence about this palette because you’ve been unimpressed with Morphe before, I can 100% say that mine was worth every penny.
LUSH Lip Scrub in Mint Julips: I’m probably going to offend a lot of people with this… but prior to last week, I had never been to LUSH. Stay tuned for an upcoming post about my first LUSH experience! I wanted to mention this product in my June beauty favorites because I’ve been using this so much! I’ve been desperately needing a good exfoliant for my lips, and this is SO good. It tastes like mint chocolate and it’s edible, so when you scrub your mouth you can just lick it off!
artnaturals Tea Tree Essential Oil: This month, my skin was NOT having it. No matter what I did, my skin was inflamed, broken out and sensitive to the point of tears. I was sent some of the artnaturals essential oils, and they have been a God send! The tea tree one in particular I have used morning and night on my skin and I have seen a huge improvement. If you have sensitivity and breakouts, try mixing tea tree and lavender essential oils. (Just make sure they are 100% pure and not mixed or diluted)
Other monthly favorites:
- World Market coffee – French and Italian blends
- Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge
So that’s it for my June beauty favorites! Be sure to leave me some recommendations of what you were loving for the month of June! 🙂
