CeraVe Moisturizers – One Brand Review
Are you in the market for a new moisturizer? Today we’re going to be diving into 4 of CeraVe’s moisturizers and I will be giving you my honest opinion of each one.
CeraVe was founded in 2005 and developed alongside dermatologists, which explains why when I went to the dermatologist in high school, she recommended CeraVe as my moisturizer to keep my skin from becoming irritated and breaking out from harsh ingredients. These products are free of fragrance and oil. They’re hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and non-irritating.
Full disclosure – I was sent the below products to try out, however this post is not sponsored. All opinions are my own.
I would highly recommend this product for an everyday moisturizer — morning or night. The formula is lightweight, which means it wears really well under makeup. I love how simple the formula is in all of these products, but I especially appreciate it in this one. Because for me, I need something uncomplicated under my makeup that will wear fine throughout the day and not clog my pores or make me look like I’m an oil monster at the end of the day. Check it out here.
So I’ve mentioned this product multiple times, from my August Monthly Beauty Favorites to my 10 Tips on Treating Breakouts. This product is so flipping amazing. Now the package says it’s for normal to dry skin, but I’m oily/sensitive. If I’m being honest, I prefer to pack in the moisture at night so my face isn’t overproducing oils. I exclusively use this cream at night as a part of my multi-step routine. It makes for an amazing base. It’s got a thick consistency (which is why I don’t use it in the morning), and it leaves the skin soft/powdery instead of greasy or sticky. Check it out here.
I’ll be honest, this one is not for me. But I say that solely because the consistency doesn’t sit well under my makeup. If you’re a no makeup lover or like to go out without any makeup and just a moisturizer and SPF, this is totally for you. This moisturizer also has the The Skin Cancer Foundation’s “Daily Use” Seal of Recommendation. Check it out here.
If you haven’t quite dove into the serum phase yet (either you’re too young, your skin is doing great at the moment with your current routine, or you’re just not feeling the extra steps), this is a great option. (Personally I have a ton of steps, including serums, so I donated this to a friend) It has a slightly more slippery consistency, but the formula uses MVE (MultiVesicular Emulsion) Delivery Technology, which means it gives a steady release of benefits over time. This moisturizer also earned the National Eczema Association’s Seal of Acceptance. Check it out here.
So that’s it! Do you use CeraVe? What do you think of your products? Hopefully if you’re in the market for a new moisturizer, one of these will work for you! Leave a comment down below with your favorite moisturizers I should review.
