KL Polish – Fall 2017 Releases
Hello everyone! KL Polish has dropped their fall 2017 line, so I thought I would share the new releases with you, as well as give my impressions and list of the ones I have purchases as of now, and if I will consider purchasing more from the line in the future.
A few months ago, I posted a full review of the 7 KL Polish nail polishes I own. You can check that out here. This line was apparently inspired by the 70s.
About KL Polish
KL Polish is an indie nail polish brand by Kathleen Lights, who is a beauty Youtubber. KL Polish nail polishes are 5-free, which means they are free of 5 ingredients: formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, dibutyl phthalate, and toluene. They are also 7 and 9-free. In addition to the 5 previous ingredients, 7-free polishes are also free of ethyl tosylamide and xylene, and 9-free polishes are free of parabens and acetone.
The Fall 2017 Line
When I think of fall, this is absolutely one of the colors I think of. I think that deep green nails are so sophisticated for the fall, and honestly I think this color would look beautiful on every skin tone. I can imagine myself wearing brown or black, with a warm scarf, and duh, sipping coffee. Home run on this color. Check it out here.
I’m not sure why, but when I see this color, I immediately think of FRIENDS when Monica wears blue nails and one of them falls off in the quiche. “That’s what your grandmother’s looked like when we found her.”
Personally, I’m not 100% certain on this color. I’m really pale, so if these pulled a darker blue like the website photo of Kathleen, I’d probably be obsessed, but if it’s any lighter, maybe not. Check it out here.
Another one I go back and forth on if I would wear it. I’m leaning towards no, because I would need it to be a bit darker and not so bright personally. But that deep skin tone in the photo, YAS girl. I also could 100% picture this on a few of my friends and it would look gorgeous on them. Check it out here.
So spoiler alert, this was one of the ones I purchased… I’m on the fence even now. In the photo of Kathleen on the website, it pulls an almost foiled brown-red. In this photo, it looks a bit different. Granted, the KL Polishes have pulled slightly darker on me personally in the past, so I’m actually hoping it does it again. My favorite KL polish is Das Esspensive, which was limited edition. She hasn’t come out with a formula quite like that one since, so I’m hoping this one comes close. Check it out here.
“But it’s Princess Penny!” Can we just take a moment for this being named after “To Grandmother’s House We Go“? That movie was my jam growing up.
So I bought “That’s What She Said” from the other collection that has this metallic shift, and I was disappointed. The streaks were so obvious and the formula wasn’t my favorite. I saw an insta photo that was nail goals though of this polish, so if that’s the case, I will definitely be purchasing. Check it out here.
“What’s the story, Wishbone? Do you think it’s worth a look?”
This is the type of nude polish I’ve been waiting for. This is a gorgeous cool-toned grey nude, which is what I’ve been wanting instead of a flesh-colored warm beige. Check it out here.
